Knoydart Sea Kayaking and Walking Week
This Trip allows for those who have an interest in both sea kayaking on hill walking the opportunity to combine both to explore the Knoydart peninsula. This multi day camping trip will take you to parts of the peninsula which are only accessible by kayak or small boat. You will camp on the shores below peaks such as Ladhar Bheinn before ascending them the next day to be rewarded of the most spectacular views of the Isle of Skye and the Small Isles to the west and a myriad of Munros to the east.

This 6 day sea kayaking adventure will start from the National Trust for Scotland’s centre at Morvich. Don’t worry if your kayaking skills are a bit rusty, as day one will be spent refreshing your skills and preparing for the expedition. On day 2 we will set out from Glenelg and kayak down the coast into Loch Hourn where will camp below the imposing peak of Ladhar Bheinn before ascending the peak the next day. Depending on weather conditions we will make our way round the penisula to Inverie where there be further options of hill walking or kayaking further up Loch Nevis to bag peaks such as Sgurr na Ciche. The final day will be spent paddling out to Mallaig or crossing the Sound of Sleat to be collected and transported back to Morvich. Cost includes one nights accommodation at the start and end of the trip.
What’s included in cost. We supply all kayaking equipment and clothing. You will be provided with a two man tent and sleep matt. Cooking set including gas and eating utensils.
What’s not included in cost: We don’t supply food as part of the cost but do offer fully catered at an extra £15.00 per kayaking day. Sleeping bags are not included in the cost but can be provided at an extra £20.00 per trip. You will also require to come along with a selection of dry bags to store your essential items during expedition. We can will advice you sizes etc at time of booking.
