Glen Affric Munros

Why not come and join us with The National Trust for Scotland’s rangers exploring the Munro’s that surround Glen Affric. The remote mountains are the highest peaks north of the Great Glen at 1183m and offer spectacular views to the Inner Hebrides to the west and the Cromarty Firth to the east. This 4 day expedition is based at the Glen Affric Hostel, the remotest Hostel in the UK.

This fully supported trip will be based at Allt Beith in Glen Affric. Under the expert guidance of the Rangers you will climb peaks such as Mam Sodhail and Carn Eighe and Mam Sodhail and Carn Eighe. The Rangers intimate knowledge will ensure you have spectacular views and have opportunities to view some of the local wildlife including deer, golden eagles, ptarmigan to name but a few. So if you like the idea of getting away from it all and exploring one of the  last bastions of wilderness under the friendly guidance of one of the rangers, this could be the trip for you.   

You will need to come equipped with walking boots with a good sole and ankle support, waterproof jacket and over trousers, and a rucksack of sufficient size to  hold food and spare clothing for a three expedition. We recommend a minimum of 40ltrs.
