Hebridean Island Expedition
Our Hebridean Sea Kayaking adventure will take us to the Isle of Harris where we will camp over looking Luskentyre beach, voted as one of the top beaches in the UK on Trip Advisor. We will explore the now deserted islands of Taransay and Scarp with their secluded white sand beaches and turquoise waters. Our guides will share with you their knowledge of the natural and cultural heritage of the Hebrides which makes these islands a must for any sea kayaker.
Cost: £650 per person
Dates: 27th June-3rd July 2021.

Your Hebridean adventure will start at the National Trust for Scotland’s Kintail Outdoor Centre where you will be met by your guide for the week. Don’t worry if your skills are a bit rusty, as the first day will be spent on Loch Duich, brushing up on your skills, while trying kayaks of different design and construction to ensure you have the best kayak to meet your needs and ability. We will check kit to ensure everyone has everything they need for the week ahead.
Day two will see us making our way to Harris via Uig on the Isle of Skye, arriving in Harris in time to get to our first campsite overlooking Luskentyre beach and hopefully fit in an early evening paddle before dinner.
The week will be dictated by the weather and if it’s set fair we would hope to spend 4 days exploring the Islands and coastline around Harris. These include, Taransay and Scarp with their pristine white beaches, sea caves and a myriad of nesting sea birds clinging to the cliffs. The final day will allow you a choice of either a site seeing trip to explore the main island or one final kayaking day trip before getting the ferry back to the Kintail Centre on Saturday evening.
Accommodation will be provided before and after the trip at the Kintail Outdoor Centre.
