Expedition

At Sea to Skye Xperience we offer a range of multi day guided sea kayaking and walking expeditions around the Isle of Skye, Knoydart the Small Isles to name but a few. We are able to design individual trips to meet either individual or group needs. Whether you want to go Munro Bagging (Mountains over 3000ft) around the remote bounds of Knoydart or explore the Small Isles by Kayak or both then hopefully at Sea to Skye we can taylor an experience just for you.

We supply all sea kayaking and camping equipment for the trips advertised. We allow groups to do there own catering or we can supply food while on expedition at £12.50 per day. A full kit list will be issued on confirmation of your booking.

Sea Kayaking Skye, Rassay and Rhona.

This four day Sea Kayaking trip is one of the classic trips on the West Coast of Scotland. We will take you on a leisurely circumnavigation of Raasay and South Rhona on the Inner Sound between Skye and the mainland. We offer a unique opportunity to explore the islands' culture and history which include the long since deserted villages in the north and the spectacular geology of the east coast with water falls cascading into the sea.  Brochel Castle sits on a stac like volcanic plug and the surrounding area offers one of the few campsites on the east coast of the Island. The Rassay, Rhona Trip  can be extended into a 5 or 6 day trips by visiting other islands within the Inner Sound including the Applecross mainland.

Knoydart Sea Kayaking and Walking Week.

Bringing sea kayaking and Munro Bagging together, this trip allows participants the unrestricted freedom to explore the remote peninsula of Knoydart while bagging a few Munros, not to forget savouring the hospitality of Britain's remotest pub. The week will include a combination of kayaking and hillwalking although alternative low level walks may be offered should the weather dictate. We will gauge the abilities of the group before we start which will hopefully ensure that the week meets your expectations.

Mull & Iona Sea Kayaking Week.

This is a new sea kayaking trip based on the Ross of Mull within view of Iona. This enables us to explore the area around the south of Mull and weather permitting will allow for crossings to Staffa and the Treshnish Isles. This is a tent based week using local campsites and may will include some wild camping during the week. This trip is aimed at those persons who have had some previous sea kayaking experience and looking to get out there and really start exploring. Further details available on request.

Hebridian Island Expedition 

This year our Hebridean Sea Kayaking trip will explore the islands of of Harris and Lewis with their golden beaches and deserted islands such as Taransay and  Scarp. These remote islands are  steeped in a culture and history that has shaped their very existence over  thousands of years. Our guides will share their knowledge and skills with you as you kayak through this amazing Hebridean landscape. This is a tent based trip although bunk houses and B&B are occasionally an option should the weather be inclement.

Sea-Kayak-Canna 1

Small Isles Expedition including Rum, Canna and Eigg.

Canna and its larger neighbour Rum, offer an amazing kayaking venue. Join us and paddle through some spectacular sea caves while exploring the rich waters around these islands in the hope of spotting basking sharks and minke whales which frequent these waters during the Summer months. This is truly one of the best kayaking trips for wildlife in the UK.

Sea Kayaking Applecross, Torridon and the Inner Sound.

This kayaking trip explores the Inner Sound between the Isle of Skye and the Scottish mainland. The trip will start at Kintail and finish in Loch Torridon, weather permitting. There is no better way to explore this amazing coastline with its spectacular back drops such as the Cuillin Mountains on Skye, the Five Sisters Ridge in Kintail and the Torridon Peaks. Along the way we will explore the dramatic coastline of Raasay and Applecross. You will experience a variety of accommodation options including staying MBA Huts and camping on secluded beaches. We will even arrange a night's accommodation in a local B&B if a hot shower is required.
